Cctv newsAccording to the emergency management department, at 2: 33 on August 6, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Pingyuan County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province (37.16 degrees north latitude and 116.34 degrees east longitude) with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
After the earthquake, Wang Xiangxi, deputy commander of the State Council Earthquake Relief Headquarters and Minister of Emergency Management Department, immediately made arrangements, and leaders of Xu Jiaai, Min Yiren and other departments immediately connected with the State Seismological Bureau, the Seismological Network Center, the Shandong Provincial Emergency Management Department and the Fire Rescue Corps by video, scheduling to understand the situation in the earthquake area and deploy earthquake relief work. The State Council Earthquake Relief Headquarters Office and Emergency Management Department decided to start the national earthquake level 4 emergency response, and sent a working group to Shandong to guide and assist the earthquake relief work.
15 vehicles and 107 people from Dezhou Fire Rescue Detachment of Shandong Province have gone to the epicenter for rescue. Twenty-four vehicles, 236 fire rescue personnel and specialized mobile teams of search and rescue dogs from five fire rescue detachments in Jinan, Tai ‘an, Liaocheng, Dezhou and Binzhou have been assembled.
Up to now, no reports of casualties have been received, and the disaster situation is being further verified.
