Maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee is an important political achievement formed by the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s continuous summing-up of historical experience in his hundred-year struggle practice, and it is the fundamental political advantage of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Taking the strong leadership core of the CPC Central Committee as the backbone, the party’s political power, the authority of the CPC Central Committee as the highest manifestation of the party, and the centralized and unified leadership based on democratic centralism as the party’s fundamental organizational principle, the combination of the three constitutes an organic and unified whole for safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee. Only from the overall dimension of the unity of theory, history and reality can we fully understand and profoundly grasp the basic spirit, core essence and practical value of safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and consciously maintain a high degree of consistency with the CPC Central Committee in ideology, politics and action.

Political consciousness comes from thoroughness and sobriety in theory. Consciously safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and resolutely supporting the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s leadership, the most fundamental thing is to profoundly understand and accurately grasp the fundamental value principle of Marxist party building ideologically. Only when we are completely awake in theory can we ensure a firm unity in thought and action, and the whole party can keep pace and form a strong political collective with strong cohesion, centripetal force and combat effectiveness. Judging from the theoretical logic of the history of Marxist development, maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee is the fundamental value principle of Marxist political party building. In the practice of the proletarian party’s revolutionary struggle, Marx and Engles discussed the historical inevitability of the existence of the authoritative phenomenon, and in the struggle against bakunin’s anarchism and other social ideological trends, they emphasized that the proletarian party needed the authority to integrate the ideological will and unify the revolutionary movement. Lenin profoundly discussed the relationship among the masses, classes, political parties and leaders through theoretical criticism and practical struggle of various non-Marxist social thoughts, revealed the necessity and scientific connotation of proletarian leadership authority, political party authority and leader authority, and defended and developed Marxist authority theory. The Communist Party of China (CPC) people have inherited and developed Marxism–Leninism’s authoritative theory, consciously safeguarded the authority of the CPC Central Committee in all historical stages of revolution, construction, reform and new era, and formed a political organization with strong cohesion, centripetal force, leadership, influence, appeal and combat effectiveness, demonstrating the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s great political advantage in leading revolution and construction and the way to success.
The core of the Party’s leadership represents the authority of Marxist political parties and guides the direction of the revolutionary movement. The proletarian leaders and the masses are an organic whole of dialectical unity. Historical materialism emphasizes that the people create history and does not deny the role of outstanding individuals, especially proletarian revolutionary leaders, as leaders, organizers and mainstay in the revolutionary struggle. Leaders are born, rooted and represent the fundamental interests of the people, and they exercise the will and power of the state on behalf of the people. Therefore, it is necessary to dialectically grasp the relationship between the party and the masses, between the party and the leaders, and between the leaders and the masses. We should fully understand the role of the leaders, but we should not exaggerate the personal role of the leaders and split the flesh-and-blood ties between the party, the leaders and the masses.
Historical dimension: Maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee is a valuable historical experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s struggle for a hundred years.
Maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee is an important historical experience of a hundred years’ struggle, and it is the key to the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s success. The history of the Party and the history of the development of New China tell us that it is very important to govern our big party and our big country, to ensure the unity and centralization of the Party, and to safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee. Judging from the stormy course of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in the past century, it is precisely because of the strong collective leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) people, with Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and the supreme leader as the main representatives, that the Communist Party of China (CPC) can give full play to the party’s core role of commanding the overall situation and coordinating all parties, and constantly overcome difficulties and forge ahead in various historical stages to create great achievements; It is with the authority of the CPC Central Committee with strong leadership that the party’s line, principles and policies can be unimpeded, implemented and effectively implemented; It is precisely because of taking democratic centralism as the party’s fundamental organizational principle that the party’s political judgment, political understanding and political execution are scientific and efficient, the party’s leadership, the people being masters of the country and governing the country according to law can be organically unified, and the party’s will and people’s wishes can be implemented in all links, fields and aspects of the national governance system.
Democratic centralism is the fundamental organizing principle of Marxist political parties, and it is also the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s political discipline and rules. Adhering to the authority of the CPC Central Committee and centralized and unified leadership does not mean that we should stop democratic centralism and promote inner-party democracy. It is wrong to oppose the two. The organic combination of maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee, centralizing and unifying leadership and promoting inner-party democracy constitutes the key to the party’s political, organizational, institutional and work advantages. Our party is a unified whole based on the organizational principle of democratic centralism, which organically combines the development of inner-party democracy with the correct implementation of centralism, organically unifies centralism on the basis of democracy and democracy under the guidance of centralism, and effectively puts an end to decentralism and arbitrary individualism on the basis of giving full play to the authority of the CPC Central Committee and uniting the leadership of the whole party.
Realistic dimension: Maintaining the authority of the CPC Central Committee is the fundamental political guarantee for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
On November 11th, 2021, the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of communist party, China, adopted the Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Great Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party’s Hundred Years’ Struggle, which pointed out: "The Party’s establishment of the core position of the Party Central Committee and the whole party as the supreme leader and the guiding position of the supreme leader’s Socialism with Chinese characteristics Thought in the new era reflect the common aspiration of the whole party, the whole army and the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country, and are of decisive significance to the development of the cause of the party and the state in the new era and to the historical process of promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." From a realistic perspective, in the face of the unprecedented great changes in the world today and the overall strategic situation of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, to successfully realize the second century goal, we must take safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee as the fundamental political guarantee, taking "two maintenance" as the primary political construction task, strengthen the "four self-confidences", strengthen the "four consciousnesses", and give full play to the role of the authority of the CPC Central Committee as the mainstay and anchor in the process of socialist modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
An important reason why China has been beaten behind in modern times is that modern China society is in a state of disarray and lacks a powerful political leading group that reflects the trend of the times and represents the interests of the people. The organized Chinese nation and the people of China are not easy to bully. The Communist Party of China (CPC)’s leadership is the historical choice and the people’s choice, and the Communist Party of China (CPC) is the political fortress and strong core to unite and lead the people to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Things are in all directions, and they should be in the center. The Communist Party of China (CPC)’s century-long struggle has been able to unite and lead the Chinese nation and the people of China from standing up, becoming rich and becoming strong, and its core essence and success code lies in always upholding and consciously safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee.
Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. Facing the new situation, new opportunities and new challenges in which the great changes in the world and the great rejuvenation strategy of the Chinese nation are intertwined and agitated, the Communist Party of China (CPC) unites and leads the people to forge ahead towards the goal of the second century. It is necessary to have a strong leadership core of the CPC Central Committee to unite and lead the people to "wade into deep water", "break through dangerous beaches" and "gnaw hard bones" and cross the "middle income trap" and "Tacitus trap" under the western discourse paradigm. Therefore, standing at the intersection of "two hundred years" history, the people of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China urgently need the rock-solid authority of the CPC Central Committee to raise the flag, direct and steer. Only when the whole party and people of all nationalities closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with the Supreme Leader as the core, consciously safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee and the position of the General Secretary of the Supreme Leader as the core of the CPC Central Committee and the whole party, and the whole country plays chess and is United as one, can we scientifically and effectively deal with the "great change that has never happened in a century" and provide fundamental political guarantee for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
