Lopez said that under the banner of anti-corruption, this organization is actually trying to subvert the Mexican regime, while the United States is paying for such an organization, which is insulting Mexico’s sovereignty and interfering in Mexico’s internal affairs.

  Lopez said that the official protest was made because this NGO named "Mexico Anti-Corruption and Impunity Organization" received financial support from the US government, and this so-called organization investigating political corruption was trying to overthrow the Mexican government.

  It is reported that the United States Agency for International Development is listed as one of its financial supporters on the website of Mexico Anti-Corruption and Impunity Organization. Lopez said that USAID’s funding for this organization is an insult to Mexico’s sovereignty.

  According to Reuters, in a diplomatic note it saw, the Mexican Foreign Ministry said that Mexico supports the "necessary" work of non-governmental organizations and the fight against corruption, but the "Mexican organization against corruption and impunity" is actually a "political actor". The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that the United States immediately stop funding this organization.
