At present, the Beidou system runs continuously and steadily, and the performance of the system is constantly improved in the process of stable operation, while ensuring that the relevant information of Beidou is open and transparent. Form a complete spectrum of chips, modules, antennas, boards, etc., and develop software and algorithms completely independently to build a national testing and certification system. Domestic chip shipments exceed 100 million scale, and similar chips abroad support Beidou system, forming a benign development trend.

According to reports, Beidou has achieved comprehensive coverage of the industry and its application depth has continued to increase. As of June this year, the number of Beidou terminals has exceeded 8 million vehicles in transportation, 1.3 million in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, and 1.8 million in public security. Communication timing, meteorological monitoring, emergency disaster reduction and urban management are accelerating the large-scale application of Beidou.

Beidou is becoming the standard configuration of mass consumer products such as smart phones and wearable devices. In the first half of 2022, among the smart phones that applied for network access in China, 128 models supported Beidou positioning, and the shipments exceeded 130 million, accounting for more than 98% of the total shipments in the first half of the year. In mobile map navigation, the daily average usage of Beidou positioning service has exceeded 100 billion times.

Promote Beidou system to enter the international standard system and serve the world.

At the press conference, Ran Chengqi also said that China has always adhered to the concept of openness and integration and promoted the internationalization of Beidou. Advocate compatibility and interoperability between satellite navigation systems, promote Beidou system to enter the international standard system, expand Beidou international application, serve the whole world and benefit mankind.

Ran Chengqi introduced that Beidou satellite navigation system signed a signal interoperability statement with GPS and GLONASS, and held cooperation talks with Galileo system. Under the framework of the United Nations, we will promote the compatibility and sharing of multiple systems, truly realize the easy use of Beidou and the sharing of multiple systems, and jointly provide users around the world with more high-quality, diverse, safe and reliable services.

Established cooperation mechanisms with multi-regional organizations and countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and signed more than 50 outcome documents such as satellite navigation cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding and cooperation road maps since 2016.

At the same time, we will continue to promote the Beidou system to enter international standards in the fields of civil aviation, maritime affairs, mobile communications, search and rescue, etc. Beidou products have been applied in more than half of countries and regions around the world, with more varieties of export products and expanding application fields.
