2019 National Medicine Culture Summit Forum held in Beijing

　　On November 10th, 2019 National Medicine Culture Summit Forum was held in Beijing. In order to thoroughly implement the important instructions of the Supreme Leader General Secretary on the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine and the spirit of the National Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the leaders, experts and scholars attending the meeting conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions. The forum was hosted by Tang Qin, vice president and secretary general of Beijing Association for the Promotion of Ethnic Medicine Culture.

　　Tu Zhitao, director of Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Li Jinyou, former deputy director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, spoke at the meeting respectively. They emphasized that ethnic medicine is an important part of Chinese medicine from different angles, and they should resolutely follow the important instructions of the Supreme Leader General Secretary on the development of Chinese medicine, be upright and innovative, vigorously inherit and develop ethnic medicine culture, and carry forward the core values of ethnic medicine culture. At the forum, Li Gengnian, vice president of the Central Institute for Ethnic Cadres, and Wang Huiling, director of the Science and Education Department of Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, also gave wonderful speeches.

　　At this forum, Director Tu Zhitao officially awarded the license to President Huang Zhongcai. Peng Peiyun, vice-chairman of the 9th the National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), presented letters of appointment to the "Top Ten Chief Experts" of the Association, and held the first unveiling ceremony for "Chinese Handed-down Medical Books" (a series of books) and "Training Textbook for Healthy Aged Care Workers in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Primary)". The Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Industry-University-Research Incubation Base of Ethnic and Folk Medicine. Everyone also visited the exhibition of "Intangible Cultural Heritage" of ethnic medicine. The guests at the meeting said that the cause of Chinese medicine is currently in a high-light moment.

Signing ceremony for cooperation of national folk medicine innovation base

　　Professor Niu Jiang, deputy secretary of Ningxia Medical University, and other six experts and scholars gave wonderful academic speeches on the inheritance and development of Hui medicine and Miao medicine, which attracted great attention from the delegates. At the end of the meeting, Huang Zhongcai, director of the Beijing Association for the Promotion of Ethnic Medicine Culture, called on everyone to take action and do a good job in six aspects: First, strengthen the research on the core values of ethnic medicine culture; The second is to tell the moving story behind ethnic medicine; Third, vigorously praise the units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to ethnic medicine; Fourth, do a good job in the cultivation of ethnic medicine health talents; Fifth, summarize the new experiences, new models and new ways of inheriting, innovating and developing ethnic medicine in the new period; Sixth, adopt various effective ways to spread the national medicine culture.
