The National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention released the national epidemic situation of legal infectious diseases in April.

  In April 2023 (from 0: 00 on April 1, 2023 to 24: 00 on April 30, 2023), a total of 2,101,158 cases of legal infectious diseases were reported in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province, the same below), with 2,217 deaths. There were no cases of incidence and death of Class A infectious diseases. Among Class B infectious diseases, there were no cases of SARS, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza and human infection with H7N9 avian influenza. Except novel coronavirus infection, the other 21 Class B infectious diseases reported a total of 291,128 cases and 2,185 deaths. The top five reported cases were viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, gonorrhea and brucellosis, accounting for 96% of the total reported cases of Class B infectious diseases. During the same period, 1810030 cases of Class C infectious diseases were reported, and 32 people died. The top three reported diseases are influenza, other infectious diarrhea and hand-foot-mouth disease, accounting for 99.5% of the total reported cases of Class C infectious diseases.
